View From Kichaka captures the raw majesty of Ruaha National Park at golden hour. This contemporary landscape depicts the vista from Kichaka camp, where a serpentine dry riverbed cuts through ochre scrubland toward distant hills. Rendered predominantly with palette knife technique, the composition layers rich impasto textures in glowing oranges, saffrons and dusty pinks—colours that evoke the sensory experience of the African wilderness. The generous application of paint creates luminous depth and tactile surface, whilst the composition balances expansive vista with intimate detail. An emotionally charged work that transports the viewer to this evocative terrain, where the scent of baobabs and distant wildlife calls seem almost tangible.
